Start with Your Email
Your primary email account is the most important account to secure. If someone has access to it, they can reset the password for most of your other accounts.
Use Strong, Unique Passwords
Avoid using personal information. A password manager can help you create and store complex passwords for different accounts.
Enable Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
MFA adds a second layer of security. Use an authenticator app (like Google Authenticator or Authy) instead of SMS (text messages) if possible, as it is more secure.
Secure Your Recovery Email
Your recovery email is the key to all your accounts. Make sure it has a very strong, unique password and has MFA enabled. Don't use a shared email account for recovery.
Consider Passkeys
Passkeys are a new, more secure way to sign in, using your device (with your fingerprint, face, or PIN) as the password. Many services like Google and Apple now support them.
