Address Confidentiality Program (ACP)

A vital tool for keeping your location safe and private.

What is the Address Confidentiality Program (ACP)?

The Texas Address Confidentiality Program is a free mail-forwarding service that provides a substitute Post Office box address for survivors of family violence, sexual assault, and stalking. It helps keep your actual physical address confidential and off of public records.

How Does It Work?

Once you are enrolled, you can use your substitute address for all government-related mail, including your driver's license, voter registration, and school records. The ACP receives your mail and forwards it to your actual, private address.

Who is Eligible?

To be eligible, you must be a resident of Texas and be a survivor of family violence, sexual assault, stalking, or human trafficking. You will need to fill out an application and have it submitted by a trained advocate.

How to Apply

You cannot apply directly. You must work with a registered application assistant at a domestic violence center, sexual assault center, or other designated agency. Use the Local Services finder in this app to find an organization near you that can help.
